ALERT makes record Medicine Hat meth seizure
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) has made what is believed to be the largest methamphetamine bust in Medicine Hat’s history.
Following a four-month investigation, ALERT’s Medicine Hat organized crime team seized 1.7 kilograms of methamphetamine and 20 grams of cocaine. The street value of the drugs is estimated at $127,000.

“We know this region has been impacted by meth and its associated crimes such as thefts, break-ins, and violence-related occurrences. Police agencies are working together to disrupt these large drug trafficking networks and keep the community safe,” said Supt. Dwayne Lakusta, ALERT CEO.
