Local FCSS teams to host virtual Seniors’ Tea event

The Family and Community Support Services teams from the City and County of Grande Prairie, the towns of Wembley and Beaverlodge, the Village of Hythe and Seniors Outreach have joined to put on a virtual Seniors’ Tea event from June 1 to 5. The event has been moved to take place virtually due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Seniors living in the above listed municipalities are invited to register for the free event. They will receive a gift in the mail and be entered into a prize draw.
The Seniors’ Tea is a bi-annual event, that focuses on recognizing contributions seniors make and have made to the communities involved. Usually, the event is in-person and takes place during Senior’s Week from June 1 to 7.
A musical performance from a local artist will also be streamed during the event on Friday, June 5 at 1:30 p.m. on the Seniors Outreach Facebook page.
