State of Local Emergency lifted in Grande Prairie area
The Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership has lifted the State of Local Emergency that has been in place since March 18.
GPREP is still asking people to be cautious to prevent the spread of COVID-19. That includes handwashing, physical distancing, wearing a mask when possible, and following the advice of health professionals.
Programs that were started to support the community will continue. That includes things like the business ambassador and personal protective equipment distribution programs.
In a release, GPREP also says it remains active, but with a reduced staff component and is in contact with Alberta Health Services to continue monitoring the pandemic.
