City partners with Volunteer Alberta, RCMP to waive Vulnerable Sector Checks fee
On Wednesday, the City of Grande Prairie, local RCMP, and Volunteer Alberta announced a partnership that will make local non-profit and volunteer organizations eligible to apply to have the RCMP Vulnerable Sector Checks fee waived through the Volunteer Screening Program.
The RCMP Vulnerable Sector Checks are administered by Volunteer Alberta and are funded by the Government of Alberta.
Groups that are interested in having the fee waived must register their organization and volunteer positions with Volunteer Alberta to receive a Volunteer Screening Program Number (VSPN) and Position Code.
Once the group has received both numbers, those approved may visit the RCMP detachment for a vulnerable sector check where the fee will be waived.
