Court update: Jail time for string of break-ins, trial dates set for Amber alert and stolen property charges
Two of the men charged after what RCMP described at the time as numerous break-ins have been given jail time.
Alberta Justice says on August 5 Clifford Dranchuk was given a 60-month sentence, minus 15 months credit for time already spent in custody, after pleading guilty to 16 charges.
Those included multiple counts of shopbreaking with intent and shopbreaking to commit theft, along with possession of stolen property over $5000, possession of a prohibited firearm, and breach of recognizance.
Yvan Landry was given 1800 days, minus 458 days credit, after admitting to 13 charges, also including multiple counts of shopbreaking with intent and shopbreaking and commit theft and possession of stolen property over $5000.
