Three other people were charged in November. In June, a stay of proceedings was put in place for the case against Alexis Jervis and Randy Vander Veen. A warrant was put out for a third, Vincent Hooper.

Trial dates set for accused in Fox Creek Amber alert

Trial dates have been set for the man charged after an abduction of three kids last year in Fox Creek led to an Amber alert.

Alberta Justice says the trial for D’artangan Dirk Pool will be held February 22 to March 2, 2021, in Grande Prairie Court of Queen’s Bench.

He is facing charges that include three of abducting a person under 16, unlawful confinement, and assault.

He and one other person were arrested after three kids were taken from a Fox Creek home around 1:30 a.m. June 1, 2019.

The children and their mother were later found in a vehicle near Sylvan Lake. The kids were not hurt.

Co-accused Charmaine Darnel has already pleaded guilty to four charges, including assault, abducting a person under 16, housebreaking with intent and threats to cause death.

She is due in Grande Prairie court for sentencing on December 14.

Trial date set in stolen property case

A trial date has been set one of the people charged after RCMP said they recovered $200,000 worth of stolen goods from a Teepee Creek-area property earlier this year

Alberta Justice says the trial for Darren Farnsworth will be held in Grande Prairie court December 10.

He elected trial by Provincial Court judge during an appearance August 5.

Farnsworth is facing charges that include possession of stolen property, failure to comply with a probation order and breach of recognizance.

He was one of two people arrested after a search of a property near Teepee Creek on February 20 this year turned up six stolen vehicles, a holiday trailer, three guns, a machete, what Mounties describe as high-end rims and tires, and various tools.

Lacey Johnston was also arrested, but a Grande Prairie court put a stay of proceedings on her charges back in April.
