A world record winning streak is over for a locally owned race horse.
Free Thought, who is owned by Sexsmith’s Charles Stojan, finished third in the opening race at Century Mile near Edmonton on Friday night.
Gone to be Bright won the race, with Big Hoss Rollin finishing second, both ahead of Free Thought.
Prior to that race, the nine year old-California born bay gelding had won 18 straight races, which is a world record for quarter horses.
