Railroad repairs lead to Sunday closure of highway north of Peace River

Sep 20, 2020 | 10:44 AM

If your travels take you to the Peace River/Manning area on Sunday, you likely want to know about some road work taking place in that area.

C-N is doing railroad track repairs in that area, which has led to the closure of a 20 km stretch of Highway 986 between Highways 35 and 743.

The stretch of highway will be closed from 6 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

Eastbound travellers can detour south onto Highway 35, then east onto Highway 2 before heading north onto Highway 743.
