Storm open exhibition season with Whitecourt October 9

The Alberta Junior Hockey League says its exhibition season will open October 9.

There are seven games scheduled, including the Storm travelling to Whitecourt.

The league stated on its website that provincial government regulations means that games will currently restrict team to two-team cohorts, with the Storm and Wolverines sharing a cohort.

On Twitter Tuesday, the Storm were quick to share their excitement with their new cohort and re-stoke the Highway 43 rivalry.

The league adds it will soon announce a full schedule, along with rules around fan access, safety measures, and facility regulations. More information regarding the exhibition season is expected to be released on Friday.
