Oct 5, 2020 | 6:00 AM

Warrants are out for two of the four people charged in connection with a forgery and counterfeiting arrest last year in Fairview.

A warrant was issued September 23 for Kristi Patricia Summers of Grande Prairie. A warrant has been out since January for Peter Josef Mares from Calgary.

In July, Kailey Peterschein of Clairmont was handed a 30-month jail sentence after pleading guilty to nine of the 163 charges she was facing. Those included a single count of possession of counterfeit money plus two each of possession of stolen property under $5000, make or possess an identification document, causing a person to sue a forged document and failure to comply. She also pleaded guilty to separate failure to comply and possession of stolen property charges.

A trial for Marcus John Moore from Spirit River has been set for March 6, 2021.

They were charged after a search of a rural residence near Fairview December 6, 2019.

Forged IDs and cheques, passports, personal government identifications, cheque books and other documents were all seized.

Jail time for one person after drugs and weapons seized

An August arrest where drugs and weapons were seized during the search of a Grande Prairie hotel room has led to a four-year jail sentence for one of the two people charged.

Alberta Justice says Taylor Joseph Donald Lawrence was given the sentence August 31 in Grande Prairie court after pleading guilty to seven of the 17 charges he was facing. Those included two each of trafficking a controlled substance and weapons trafficking and three more of failure to comply with a release order. The others were withdrawn.

The four charges against co-accused Paige Ashley Lock were withdrawn at a September 9 court appearance.

RCMP said at the time that a five-week investigation led to the August 7 search. Cocaine, fentanyl, LSD, ecstasy, 230 fake Xanax tablets, a semi-automatic shotgun and a revolver were all seized.
