Readdressing proposal for Clairmont subject of upcoming online survey

Nov 26, 2020 | 7:00 AM

The County of Grande Prairie says it wants to hear from people in Clairmont about readdressing.

The County says in a release that what it describes as “inconsistent addressing” has come about after 5000 acres of land were added to the community in 2007 to accommodate growth.

An online survey will open on Friday and stay up until January 15.

It says the proposal would impact about 1100 residential and 250 non-residential properties and that the address changes could come into effect in late 2021 or early 2022.

“The proposed improvements to Clairmont’s addressing will make it easier for residents, businesses, visitors and emergency services to locate homes, buildings and utilities in the community. Our motivation is to enhance safety and service delivery for Clairmont citizens,” says planning and development services director Nick Lapp in the release.

Proposal details and that survey will be available as of Friday on the county’s web site.
