Slave Lake town council calls for resignation of MLA Rehn in open letter
Lesser Slave Lake MLA Pat Rehn is coming under further fire this week, as Slave Lake town council is calling for him to resign as their region’s MLA.
In an open letter published to the town’s website, Mayor Tyler Warman and the rest of council expressed their “displeasure” in his performance as the region’s representative in the legislature, saying he provides a “lack of proper representation” for the region.
Rehn was one of several Alberta MLAs that were discovered to have travelled abroad over the holiday break, which led to Premier Jason Kenney revoking all revealed travelers of their ministerial and committee responsibilities.
