Peace River man arrested on drug and weapon offences
A Peace River man has been arrested for drug and weapons offences following a complaint from Loon Rivers First Nation.
The Red Earth RCMP responded to reports the man was on the Loon River First Nation on March 3, despite being prohibited from being in the community.
Officers located the man, who provided false identification. The RCMP says an interaction occurred and the man attempted to resist arrest, but was unsuccessful, and officers took him into custody.
Upon a search of his person, officers recovered brass knuckles, suspected methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash.
