Wind warning issued for Grande Prairie, Peace Region
Apr 1, 2021 | 6:32 AM
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Grande Prairie, Peace River and Slave Lake areas.
Strong winds with gusts reaching 90 kilometres an hour are expected to develop through the day.
Strong winds bring the risk of loose objects being tossed around, and may cause damage to buildings including breaking windows or blowing away loose roof shingles. The public is advised to be cautious as these incidents can also cause injuries.
The weather agency says the wind will ease off later in the evening.
