Whispering Ridge Community School updates post-fire plan

Apr 14, 2021 | 5:46 PM

Officials at Whispering Ridge Community School have posted a letter to school families on Facebook outlining how classes will go ahead after last weekend’s fire.

The letter says because of the damage to their classrooms, and because they believe in-person learning is better for younger kids, Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes will be relocated. Where they will go is still being decided.

Online learning for Grades 2 to 8 will be in place until those classrooms are cleaned. There is no set time for when that will be completed.

Chromebooks have already been cleaned and will be handed out starting Thursday. They will be given out to those who asked for one between 11 am and 1 pm Thursday and Friday. The number of Chromebooks available is limited, so parents are urged to ask for what is absolutely needed.
