GPPL’s Collins Writing Contest winners announced
The Grande Prairie Public Library has announced the winners for the 33rd Collins Writing Contest.
The contest usually centres around a particular theme. This year’s, exploring The Bots, drew 218 submissions.
The awards have been given out since 1988 and in honour of Clem & Muriel Collins.
“Clem & Muriel Collins believed in encouraging the imagination of writers of all ages. Their idea was to promote a simple theme and let the writer grow it from there,” says Jacob Fehr, Head of Children’s & Teen Services at the Library.
