City constructing second dog park in South Bear Creek Park

The City of Grande Prairie says construction has begun on a new dog park in the South Bear Creek Park, just to the west of the current dog park, and north of the bike skills park.

They say the second park will have a section for small dogs and a larger area for all dogs, with benches, garbage and sanitary bins.

As construction work is ongoing, residents are advised that the trail to the east of the site will be closed for the duration of construction.

The city says the new park is expected to be open by the end of July.
