Intersection of 100 Street, 100 Avenue to re-open August 10

The City of Grande Prairie says the intersection of 100 Avenue and 100 Street will reopen to traffic on Tuesday, August 10 as construction on the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project moves east.

The city says the opening of the intersection is “a significant milestone for the project, as it indicates the completion of underground utility installation on the west end of the project”.

City officials had initially targeted August 3 as the reopening date for the intersection, which has been closed since early July.

“However rainfall in mid-July resulted slight delays on the project .”
