Smith Subdivision

92 Ave. closed between Park Rd., 92 St. for infrastructure upgrades

As work continues on the Smith Subdivision project, the city has closed 92 Avenue between Park Road and 92 Street to complete several infrastructure upgrades.

As part of the project, the city will be replacing storm sewers and extending utilities to the new Activity and Reception Centre being constructed. The city says they will also be rebuilding and paving the road.

A detour is in place for residential traffic, and heavy truck traffic is being told to access the area from the Park Road (96 Street) and 100 Avenue intersection.

The city adds local traffic to businesses will be maintained while work is ongoing.

Drivers are reminded to use caution in and near construction zones, obey all posted signage, and follow the direction of flag persons.
