Pincher Creek man claims $34.1M lotto jackpot
The 15th largest lotto prize in Alberta’s history has gone to a man from Pincher Creek.
Glen Schmidt bought a LOTTO MAX ticket on August 6. He went back to the store the following day to check his ticket and learned that he would be the recipient of $34,162,116.30.
“I didn’t think it was an actual win,” says Schmidt. “I thought it was some sort of code on the machine. There were so many numbers, I really didn’t think it was showing me a prize amount.”
Not believing that he had actually won an amount so large, he got his wife to check again.
