Temporary detours expected as slope repair occurs near pedestrian bridges

Pedestrians can expect some detours to be in place through Muskoseepi Park over the next two weeks as slope repair work is undertaken near several pedestrian bridges.

Starting Monday, slope repair work will be completed near the following bridges:

• Pedestrian bridge near Ernie Radbourne Pavilion
• Pedestrian bridge near the southeast end of Muskoseepi Park
• Pedestrian bridge near the southwest end of Muskoseepi Park
• Pedestrian bridge in Muskoseepi Park near 71 Avenue

Some slope work will also happen near the westbound bridge along 68 Avenue. Construction on all sites is expected to be completed by November 17.

The city adds crews plan to start repairing Monday on the south pier of the pedestrian bridge near the southeast end of Muskoseepi Park, meaning a section of the Waxwing trail will be temporarily closed.
