Second Annual

County of Grande Prairie Diaper Drive begins Friday

Nov 18, 2021 | 5:02 PM

Starting Friday through November 30, the County of Grande Prairie will be collecting donations of diapers for those in need through its second annual Diaper Drive.

Residents can drop off cloth or disposable diapers of any size and related hygiene items like wipes and diaper cream at locations throughout the County, or make monetary donations online.

The County’s Regional Enforcement Services is coordinating the initiative and will pick up donations from drop-off locations and deliver them to food banks in Beaverlodge, Clairmont, Hythe, Sexsmith and Wembley.

“With the Christmas season right around the corner, the diaper drive donations will help alleviate the financial burden on families,” said Peace Officer Lindsey Hennigar.

“Disposable and cloth diapers and baby change supplies are essential products for young children in our community and we’re pleased to help collect these goods.”

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Beaverlodge Public Library
  • County of Grande Prairie FCSS Office
  • Elmworth Community Library
  • Hythe Community Library
  • Knelsen Centre, Bezanson
  • La Glace Community Library
  • Shannon Municipal Library, Sexsmith
  • Valhalla Community Library
  • Wembley Town Office
