Count Snow Clearing

County snow clearing crews working in Clairmont Monday

Nov 22, 2021 | 11:44 AM

County crews dedicated to residential snow removal are busy clearing streets in Clairmont from 100 Ave to 113 Ave Monday, according to County officials.

Once clearing in that area is complete, crews will move onto the subdivisions of Whispering Ridge and Westlake Estates, followed by Wedgewood, Taylor Estates, and Maple Ridge.

Temporary parking restrictions, which are put into effect 24 hours in advance when possible, are in effect in these areas from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“No Parking” signage will be posted at entrances to these areas. When “No Parking” signs are visible, parking on roadways will not be permitted.

County officials add snow clearing in Hythe is also underway Monday morning, with parking restrictions in effect.

Vehicles left on the street when a parking restriction is in place may be ticketed and/or towed. Residents are reminded that piling snow onto roadways is illegal and could result in a $100 fine, as it slows the snow clearing process and creates a traffic safety hazard.

The County is also encouraging to subscribe to snow removal updates, which can be completed here.

As crews make progress clearing in these residential areas and new temporary parking restrictions are put in place, updates will be emailed to webpage subscribers and applied to the interactive web map.
