RCMP arrests three following drug trafficking, weapons offences
The Grande Prairie RCMP says they have arrested and charged three people for various drug trafficking and weapons offences.
In October of 2021, the Grande Prairie Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) and Combined Enforcement Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) began a drug trafficking investigation in Grande Prairie.
On December 3, ALERT and the CFSEU were able to obtain search warrants for a vehicle and a residence in Grande Prairie. The search warrant was conducted on that date, with help from the Grande Prairie RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Service.
Throughout the search of the vehicle, RCMP members located and seized a quantity of cocaine and Canadian currency.
