Huskies strike first blood in NWJHL final

Tyler McArthur made 22 saves for the shutout as the hometown Fort St. John Huskies took game one of the NWJHL final, 3-0 over the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings on Wednesday night.
Brandon Modde, Justin Brownlee, and Alex Nimmo scored for the Huskies, who led 1-0 after both the first and second periods.
Jared Winkel added a pair of assists for the Huskies, who outshot the Kings 30-22.
Both teams went 0-4 on the powerplay.
