Camp Tamarack summer camp registrations to open soon

Camp Tamarack will open up the registration process for its 2022 summer camps on Tuesday, April 19th.

Spokesman Kenn Belke says people can start registering as of 9 a.m., on their website camptamarack.ca.

“The first adult camp is going to start June 27th and go until July 1st, and the youth camps start July 4th. All of the different camps and age groups are on our website. People can also register on our website.”

Belke adds they are very excited about how preparations for the summer are coming together.

“We have some of our experienced people coming back. We have two people that were program coordinators coming back from Australia,” he explained.

“We also have one of our camp councillors coming back from Mexico and the entire leadership team will be coming together shortly.”

Belke adds they are still looking to hire a few more councillors for this summer.

He says they are excited to be holding summer camps at Camp Tamarack again for the first time since 2019.

“Go to our website, look at what programs are available, and share with your friends. We are just so convinced that this is important for the youth to get out and reconnect with nature, having a normal summer just doing what kids are supposed to be doing during the summertime,” he explained.

Camp Tamarack is located just south of Grande Prairie on the east side of Highway 40.
