May 17, 2022 | 9:25 AM

Crews from four County fire stations responded to a residential fire near Wembley Monday afternoon.

Members from the Wembley, Dunes, La Glace and Clairmont stations responded to the blaze at around 5:20 Monday afternoon at a property on Range Road 80 near Township Road 710.

The house was fully engulfed once crews arrived, but they were able to work quickly and bring it under control before it spread elsewhere.

A water tender shuttle was successfully used to bring water from a nearby source to the scene.

Nobody was home at the time the fire started, and no injuries were reported.

Damage was extensive to the home.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

In a release, the fire marshall is said to be considering all possible causes, including an intense thunderstorm that rolled through the area just prior to the fire being reported.
