First post-pandemic edition of Grande Prairie Stompede hailed a success

Another edition of Stompede is in the history books.

Stompede Association president Trevor Denis was very pleased with how the week-long event went.

“For being out of the game for a few years, I think it went very smoothly. We had some great attendance. We have a great board of directors that row the ship that I helm. And it was fantastic, we are very very happy.”

Denis says they were especially very happy to see everyone that braved the wet weather on Saturday to attend the show.

“The ones who showed up had a heck of a time. I mean, Mother Nature is in charge of what is going on. But the people of Grande Prairie always show up for it, and we are very happy and pleased.”

This was the first time that Stompede had been held since 2019, as both the 2020 and 2021 shows were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is the biggest show in our region and we are very proud to put it on with our partners at Evergreen Park. We could not ask for anything better.”

Denis adds plans are already in the works for the 2023 edition of Stompede.
