CALGARY, AB – A trial for former Calgary West MP Rob Anders into alleged tax fraud allegations was set to get underway in a Calgary courtroom on Monday morning, June 6, 2022.
As the trail was set to proceed, the Crown stayed all charges.
Anders was facing five charges for allegedly failing to report $750,000 in net income over the course of five years.
The charges came from a series of audits, which found discrepancies in reported losses on rental properties in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, and unexplained deposits into his bank account.
