City planning orchard tours throughout the summer

June 22nd will mark the first of four community orchard tours hosted by the city this summer, with the idea being to show residents the benefits of having an orchard.

Each tour will focus on a different theme, ranging from weeds and pollinators to fruit thinning and insect varieties, to harvest and end of season.

Different areas of the city will also be focused on during each of the tours.

Wednesday’s tour will take place in Highland Park beginning at 6 pm.
