Jun 28, 2022 | 9:04 AM

The City of Grande Prairie will be providing free transit and free access to the Outdoor Pool on Canada Day, July 1.

The outdoor pool is open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. but will operate in two-hour increments to accommodate everyone.

Swim sessions will run from:

  • 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The outdoor pool is drop-in only and the City recommends coming at the start of each time slot as it is first-come, first-serve.

Transit will operate with statutory holiday hours starting at 8:45 a.m. and running to 6:15 p.m.

The City of Grande Prairie would also like to remind residents of some of the festivities taking place, the Canada Day Parade will travel along 108 Avenue and ends at the Leisure Centre Parking lot. Muskoseepi Park will feature bouncy castles, live entertainment, carnival rides, and more.
