Jul 27, 2022 | 12:38 PM

On July 12, at around 8 am Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report from the Country Club subdivision of a theft in a residential yard.

Residents reported that the suspect left in a brown older model pickup truck, which had been reported stolen on July 11 from a residence in Crystal Landing.

Mounties later located the suspect driving dangerously through the city and with the assistance of the police dogs, they were able to make an arrest.

18-year-old Chase Glodek of Grande Prairie has been charged with the following:

  • Dangerous operations of a motor vehicle.
  • Flight from a Peace Officer.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
  • Possession of a controlled substance.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Glodek has been released and is expected to be in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on August 10.

Glodek was later arrested and charged after a single-vehicle collision involving a stolen truck on July 23.
