Authorities recover missing paddle-boarder from Figure Eight Lake

On Sunday, August 14 at around 11:21 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP, Fire Department, EMS, and STARS Air Ambulance were all dispatched to a call of a missing paddle boarder on Figure Eight Lake near Dixonville.
It was reported an adult male and female had gone on the lake on a single paddle board, when it flipped and the female swam to shore but the male had disappeared.
Search and Rescue, the Fire Department, and Peace Regional RCMP conducted a search by land, water and air.
On Tuesday, August 16, at 8:00 a.m., the body of the 27-year-old missing male paddle boarder was recovered from the lake.
