New Wellness Coach in PWPSD

The 2022-23 academic year is quickly approaching and the Peace Wapiti Public School Division has welcomed a new Wellness Coach to their division.

Ms. Danielle Vavrek is from the Grande Prairie area completed her Bachelor of Science in Honours Psychology at the University of Alberta last spring.

Ms. Vavrek will be working throughout the PWPSD as a Wellness Coach, with both students and staff.

She said in a news release she is looking forward to starting her PWPSD journey and is excited to increase mental health awareness and make a positive impact on all students and staff.

The school division was able to add the additional Wellness Coach position thanks to support through the Alberta Health Services Mental Health Capacity Building Grant.
