Two Peace region communities to host Mobile Mammography Unit in October

Alberta Health Services’ Mobile Mammography Unit will be returning to the Peace region in October.
The trailer will be at the Valleyview Health Centre from October 18th to 21st, before moving on to the Hythe Legion on October 22nd and October 24tth to 26th.
According to AHS, a mammogram is an effective way of detecting breast cancer.
Women aged 50-74 are the most at risk for developing breast cancer, so women in that age group in those areas are encouraged to book an appointment for a screen test, or learn more about the testing by calling 1-800-667-0604.
