Nominations are now being accepted for annual volunteer awards
December 5th is International Volunteer Day, and both the city and the Grande Prairie Regional Association of Volunteer Organizations are joining forces to hold a celebration that day to recognize volunteers in the region.
Nominations are currently being accepted for several awards, including the George Repka outstanding achievement award and the Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the year, which are both presented by the city.
Nomination forms for those awards can be found on the city’s website.
Meanwhile, the Grande Prairie Regional Association of Volunteer Organizations’ volunteer of the year will also be presented that day, along with the ATCO Leaders of Tomorrow – which focuses on youth volunteerism.
