County crews battle fire near Dimsdale

A fire near Dimsdale Thursday morning is under investigation by the County of Grande Prairie’s fire marshall.
The fire, which was reported around 10 am, started in a shed and eventually spread to a nearby barn on the same property.
Crews from the Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service halls in Clairmont and the Dunes were joined by firefighters from the Wembley Fire Department in battling the fire, which had to be done from the inside of the barn due to the extremely windy conditions.
A water tender from the city’s fire department was also brought in to help with efforts in putting out the blaze.
