The Peace Region received high praise at an event held in Calgary between municipal governments.

They were highlighted for their working relationship with the MD of Greenview, County of Grande Prairie, and City of Grande Prairie which has allowed this area to be a leader in traditional energy and emerging energy technology and innovation.

Mayor Jackie Clayton said in a news release, “Where most jurisdictions compete, our three municipalities have come together to maximize all that our region has to offer, which in turn maximizes the quality of life and opportunities for our constituents.”

“With a high quality of life, low cost of living and urban amenities paired with a seemingly endless outdoor playground, Alberta’s Northwest is not only a safe and prosperous place to invest – it is one of the best places to live, play and raise a family,” said Leanne Beaupre, County of Grande Prairie Councillor.
