Grande Prairie City Council met on Monday and made a couple of changes besides the tax increase in their meeting. Council will be:

Enhancing cooperation with departments to increase their response to foxtails and other invasive plant life in city limits.
Non-for-profits rates for renting the whole swimming pool will swap with private rates to rent the whole swimming pool, prior rates for private events were cheaper then non-for-profits.
The 2021 tax recovery sale for properties will be held at the North Conference room at City Hall.
The Leisure Centre will remain paying fees for the space it uses until its demolition, which is supposed to take place before the end of 2022.
The 2024 to 2026 budget has been approved, in principle, but will be revised closer to when it comes into effect.
