Kettle campaign update, Northern Spirit Light Show now open daily

The Grande Prairie Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign had raised $210,279.21 as of Wednesday.

The goal this year is $600,000.

The Salvation Army says 19 per cent of the people in Grande Prairie used the food bank in 2021.

Light show now open daily

The Northern Spirt Light Show is open tonight (Thursday, December 8) at Evergreen Park. The show will now be open every evening through Christmas Eve, then again from Boxing Day through New Year’s Eve.

Horse-drawn wagon rides go from 6 to 9 pm. The cost is $5 per person. It is open to vehicles from 6 to 10 pm. The cost there is $15 per vehicle.

There is a debit machine on site.

Donations of non-perishable food items are also being collected.
