Three First Nation communities in northwestern Alberta receive federal funding for food security projects
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has announced support for up to 79 new projects across Canada that promote food security in Indigenous, remote, and Northern communities through the Local Food Infrastructure Fund in its fourth phase.
Up to $19.5 million is being invested, with 56 of the projects announced on Friday being Indigenous-led, totaling up to $15.1 million.
Three community-led projects in northwestern Alberta have been approved for funding, which are all located on First Nations.
$1,026,207 is being split between:
