Extreme cold to last all week in Peace region

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning, blanketing the western half of the province.

Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview, Hinton, and Grande Cache are all under the warning.

Wind chill values are nearing minus 40 and are expected to stay unchanged throughout the week, especially overnight and in the early morning hours.

Environment Canada says a warming trend is expected this weekend… just in time for Christmas.
