Paszkowski finally enters Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame
After over two years of waiting, Walter Paszkowski finally has a formal spot in the Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame.
The former mayor of Sexsmith and MLA for Grande Prairie-Smoky was selected to enter the hall in 2020, but the COVID pandemic caused his formal induction ceremony to be postponed until Thursday.
Paszkowski, who served as both Agriculture and Transportation minister during his time in the Alberta legislature, was selected for his instrumental vision and dedication in building the canola industry into a key agricultural economic driver in Alberta.
That commitment to the canola sector inluded terms as president of the Alberta Canola Growers, Director of Northern Lite Canola Inc, Chair of the Canola Council of Canada, and chair of the Grown with Canola committee.
