Shrek the Musical opening last dress rehearsal to the public
The sold-out show, Shrek The Musical is set to begin on Thursday, February 9, and with all the tickets being purchased already, Grande Prairie Live Theatre has decided to open up the dress rehearsal to the public by donation, with all the proceeds going toward the PACE Centre.
The Director for the Musical, Jen Robertson said, when all ten of their shows sold out, Grande Prairie Live Theatre wanted to give back to the community that supports them so well, while also supporting a good cause.
“So when it comes to this show when we sold out so quickly we thought how can we give back to the community, and provide some entertainment for those people who just couldn’t get their tickets on time or couldn’t afford the pricing.”
Robertson added, ” If they (anyone attending ) want to pay $5, $10, $20, whatever they feel comfortable with to come and watch the dress rehearsal, we thought was a good way for us to give back, and also celebrate the success of the show.”
