Peace Country Classic Agri-Show goes Thursday through Saturday

“It’s just a great outing for people and yes, of course, the ag. industry is quite positive at this point too, so that’s alright.”

Hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the TARA Centre. It is the host venue for the Trade Show, Peace Crafts & Creations, and the Kidz Zone.

Anderson is expecting people from all over the Peace to come to the show.

“We expect BC Peace folks to come. We understand people from Fort St. John and Dawson (Creek) typically come. (They also come from the) north country, Grimshaw north kind of thing, Peace River. We’re expecting quite a range of folks to come and visit us.”

Anderson says this year’s Keddies Horse Program will start Friday.

“The Horse Program is just running Friday-Saturday this year. It’s not going to run on Thursday. The skijoring, of course, (goes) Saturday evening at 5 o’clock so that’s going to be a great thing again.”

Friday will also include the Northern Classic Bull Sale at 1:00 p.m. in the Drysdale Arena. The Kids Auction will be at the same time in the TARA Centre.

A banquet in honour of the Drysdale’s – this year’s County of Grande Prairie Farm Family of the Year – is planned for Friday evening. Anderson says they have been a pillar of the community for many years.
