GPFD responded to a structure fire in Avondale

The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the Avondale neighborhood Wednesday at 8:30 am.
Upon arrival, crews found flames and smoke coming from the rear of the home and worked quickly to knock the fire down.
It did spread to the attic, but firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze and keep everyone safe, reporting no injuries from the fire. Multiple occupants were displaced.
