Evacuation in place for the MD of Greenview

UPDATE:

An evacuation order is now in place for the MD of Greenview, residents living in the area of Township Road 730 to 710, and Range Road 245 to Highway 49, must evacuate now.

The MD is telling residents to go to Memorial Hall, on 50 Street, and bring all important, documents, and medications, along with enough food, water and supplies for three days.

The MD of Greenview has joined other local municipalities in declaring a local state of emergency, due to the ongoing developments with wildfires in the area.

The MD would like to advise the public that for the duration of the emergency, Greenview may take any action they deem necessary to deal with the situation.
