Total bids at Ponoka Stampede tarp auction up by over $163,000

The World Professional Chuckwagon Association says total sales at the tarp auction for the Ponoka Stampede came in at $553,000, an increase of $163,250 over last year.
Evan Magee had the top bid at $29,500.
Chanse Vigen had the top bid among drivers with Peace Country connections at $19,000. Then came Cody Ridsdale, Dayton Sutherland, and Mark Sutherland at $18,000 each; Mitch Sutherland at $11,000; Derek Aebly at $10,000; Kirk Sutherland at $8000 and Dean Dreger at $6500.
The Ponoka Stampede runs from June 26 to July 2.
