Cowboys season ends with narrow loss in the AFL quarter-finals

The football season is over for the Peace Country Cowboys.

They lost their Alberta Football League quarterfinal 29-23 in quadruple overtime Saturday in Calgary to the Wolfpack.

The team said the following in an email to EverythingGP.

“The Cowboys are done for this season now, but a message has been sent to the other teams in the league that the Cowboys are for real and we can’t wait ’till next year!!”

The Cowboys are selling tickets for their awards banquet. It is set for August 26 at Better Than Fred’s. The evening will also include a silent auction.
