GPPSD getting ready for 2023/2024 school year

With the start of the 2023/2024 school year just around the corner, the Grande Prairie Public School Division says it is excited to see everyone back in class.

With classes a month away, the school division has sent out a list of links for parents and guardians to navigate, in hopes of making the transition back to school easier for everyone.

These links include:

• Calendars and school supply list
• Bussing applications
• Bus Pass pick-up
• New student registration portal
• Portal for registering Kindergarten students
• KinderPAL Registration (all day Kindergarden)
• Diverse learning opportunities applications

GPPSD is also hosting the First Ride Program in partnership with the Grande Prairie Catholic School Division on August 30 at St. Patrick Catholic School from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This event is for Preschool to Grade 1 students who will be frequently riding the bus this upcoming school year and do not have much experience.

The event will consist of a 30-minute presentation focused on safety, followed by a 10-minute video and a short ride on the bus, free of charge.
