Hamlet of Hythe’s chlorine analyzers to be replaced with ProMinent
The Hamlet of Hythe’s chlorine analyzers are being replaced.
At Monday’s meeting, County of Grande Prairie Council voted to replace the current Rosemount-Emerson chlorine analyzers with ProMinent analyzers.
The County’s Ryan Konowalyk says the Rosemount analyzers have been failing lately, resulting in false readings and high chlorine levels in the community.
“The rest of the equipment in the County is ProMinent and it’s a different system,” Konowalyk says. “What we’re suggesting instead of doing the maintenance on the existing one is to replace it now. When you look at it financially through a five-year window, the teams run the numbers and it makes a lot of sense.
